Vikram Sarabhai Scholarship Yojana: Keeping in mind that students in rural areas face financial difficulties and lack of guidance, Physical Research Laboratory has established 10 scholarships in the memory of Professor Shri Vikram Sarabhai. This scholarship is also known as Vikas Shishyavrithi Yojana or Vikram Sarabhai Incentive Yojana.

Vikram Sarabhai Vikas Scholarship Scheme: https://www.prl.res.in/Vikas: PRL VIKAS sHISHYVRUTI: Vikram Sarabhai Incentive Scheme (Vikas) Scholarship The “Vikas” scholarships have been instituted in the memory of the founder of PRL, Mr. Vikram Sarabhai. The objective of this scholarship is to encourage and support economically weaker students from rural areas of Gujarat to pursue higher education in science.
Vikram Sarabhai Scholarship Scheme – Eligibility, Terms, Conditions
- The student should be studying in class 8 in a government recognized school in a rural area of Gujarat.
The student will have to submit a written certificate from the school official stating the following details. - Name of the student and whether the student is a regular student of the school or not.
- Name of the educational board to which the school is attached.
- Registration No. of School Board or Gujarat Education Department.
- Details whether the school is government, semi-government or private.
- Language medium of the school.
- Whether the school is located in a rural area of Gujarat or not.
- The applicant has to provide proof of income in which the total annual income of the student’s family from all sources of income should not exceed Rs 1.50000.
- The scholarship of a scholarship recipient can be continued after class 10 only if the student continues his studies in science stream in class 11. The student will have to submit a certificate from the head of the school to show this fact.
- A student who has received the scholarship is a P.R.L. It is easy to state that he has received any other scholarship or financial aid. A student receiving financial aid from other sources or receiving other scholarships is not necessarily excluded from receiving a development scholarship.
- Any discrepancy in the application of a scholarship recipient is noticed by PRL at any time, the scholarship of that student will be terminated immediately.

A standard student certificate from the school
Marksheet of Class 7 [Marksheet of Class 9 in case of Class 10 students applying for scholarship.]

How to Apply for Vikram Sarabhai Incentive Scheme?
STEP 1 : The student has to first go to Vikram Sarabhai Scholarship Satawar website.
STEP 2 : After coming to the website click on “Student Registration”.
STEP 3 : In the new page you will see “Is your school in rural area?” A question will be asked.
STEP 4 : Then you have to fill your personal, school details, complete address etc. information.
STEP 5 : Finally, the photo of the student has to be uploaded, and the Captcha Code has to be entered and clicked on the “Submit” button.
