Primary School Recruitment 2023 : Gujarat government has made an important announcement promising to recruit 1300 teachers for class 1 to 5 and additional 2000 teachers for class 6 to 8. This crucial decision is aimed at addressing the acute shortage of teachers in primary schools in the state. The government wants to complete the recruitment process in the next two months.

Within the next two months, the state government intends to undertake the recruitment of subject-wise teachers in classes 6 to 8, will only recruit suitably qualified teachers. This recruitment process will be exclusively for Gujarati medium primary and upper primary schools.
3300 teachers will be recruited
During the budget session of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly, the matter came to light regarding the prevailing issue of unemployment. Within this inquiry, the government responded that 3,92,418 educated unemployed persons along with 20,566 semi-educated unemployed persons were actively registered in the state, resulting in a total of 4,12,985 persons without employment prospects.

The state government’s assurance of creating thousands of jobs and sticking to the recruitment schedule for the next decade has proved hollow. Further, it is worth mentioning that the government has emphasized that 22 lakh people will be given job opportunities as part of the budget plan.
