Tar Fencing Yojana Gujarat 2023: Government of Gujarat announced on 5th September 2023 through an official resolution by Department of Agriculture Farmers Welfare and Cooperation Tar Fencing assistance to the farmers of Gujarat for crop protection purposes. To provide support for this wire fencing, how the government will get the support in the budget which has been provided within the limit, which has been given the details in this article of the official resolution.

Objective of Wire Fencing Scheme 2023 for Gujarat Farmers
- There is a plan to provide financial assistance to farmers to construct barbed wire fences around their fields to prevent wild animals from damaging their crops.
Wire fencing plan 2023 details as per new resolution
- Under this scheme, the budget limit of Rs.35000.00 lakh (Rs. 350 crore) has to be spent.
- Under this scheme, the farmer/farmers will have to make a cluster of their land and apply in a group. A minimum area (cluster) of 2 (two) hectares will be allowed for all categories of farmers.
- For each cluster to be determined by the farmers,
- 200/- per meter of land or 50% of the actual expenditure, whichever is less, shall be sanctioned in respect of applications of group of beneficiaries according to the cluster of land.
- The implementation of this scheme has to be done by the office of the Director of Agriculture.
- The guidelines/guiline for the implementation of this scheme shall be as per Annexure-1 to 5.
5% of the expenditure incurred for the implementation of the scheme may be spent on other administrative expenses/ contingency expenses. - Design and specification of wire fencing shall be as per Annexure-2 and 3.
- Farmers cannot construct wire fences of inferior quality or inferior quality to the design prescribed by the department, if fencing is constructed by a group of farmers at a higher cost, the farmers will have to bear the cost in addition to the prescribed assistance.
- After constructing the fence, the farmer/farmers will have to maintain it at their own expense.
- Farmers who will get the benefit of this scheme only once in that survey number and will not be able to get the benefit of this scheme as a member of the regroup for the survey number who have got the benefit of the scheme earlier.
- This scheme has to be implemented in the entire state.
