Gujarat Police LRD PSI Main Exam Syllabus 2025

Exam Name: Un-armed Police Sub Inspector (PSI) Main Exam 2025

Exam Date: 13-04-2025 (Sunday)

The Main Examination shall be of 300 marks consisting of 2 papers (Objective type and Descriptive type). The syllabus, duration and marks of each paper are as under:

Syllabus of Main Exam:

 

PAPER-1 GENERAL STUDIES (MCQ) (Medium shall be Gujarati)

  • It shall consists of two parts i.e. Part A + Part B

 

PART-A :

  • 100 Mark; 100 MCQ;
  • 40 % minimum qualifying standard
  • Negative marking 0.25; “E” option

  1. It shall consist of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ)
  2. Every question shall be of 1 mark
  3. Every attempted question with incorrect answer answer shall carry a negative mark of 0.25
  4. In every question there shall be one ‘E’ option of “Not attempted”. If the candidate does not intend to answer, he may select this option. If a candidate selects this option, no negative mark shall be goven.
  5. If a candidate has not selected any of the options given in the question, then it shall carry a negative mark of 0.25.
  6. The Candidates shall be required to qualify in both Part A and Part B separately.

PAPER-2 GUJARATI and ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILL (DESCRIPTIVE)

  1. The Paper 1 of Main Examination shall be objective type and Paper 2 shall be Descriptive type.
  2. The qualifying standard for PAPER-1 GENERAL STUDIES (MCQ) shall be minimum 40% marks in PART-A and PART-B separately.
  3. The qualifying standard for PAPER-2 GUJARATI and ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILL (DESCRIPTIVE) shall be minimum 40% marks.
  4. The evaluation of Paper-2 GUJARATI and ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKIL (DESCRIPTIVE) shall be made only for those candidates who score minimum 40 per cent. qualifying marks in PART-A and PART-B of Paper-1 GENERAL STUDIES (MCQ) separately.
